Just a few snaps as I’m going through the city of Dubrovnik. I can see why is a ‘must see’ place in Croatia. So old, so detailed and full of history. They are so many think to say about Dubrovnik, I bet you already know the history and if you don’t it’s not hard to just google it. I’m just bringing you some street view 😊
Church sv. Spasa
Statue to Marin Držić
Fountain where you can freely drink water. Delicious.
Before you climb up to the walls of Dubrovnik, there is so much to see. If you like photography you will love Dubrovnik. And if you looove history you will enjoy this city completely.
Have a nice day and don’t forget to follow 😊
If you are a Star Wars fan you probably heard about new episode of it is filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Well, I was there during the shooting of it and what you didn’t hear is – we couldn’t walk in old part of the city or take photos. Everything was a movie set.
So, I stopped here, on the top of the stairs and snapped a quck photo of a sunset on Dubrovnik walls. Enjoy 💛
Before it’s all cold and rainy I better put a photo of my favorite flower photo this year!
I absolutely love Dahlia flowers, they look so complicated and special.
Trogir is a very sweet little Mediterranean town. So small but packed with history. Gorgeous small streets and one big and main and main one in front of the church.
I’ll part it in two posts because I’m all about the picture and the atmosphere! 😄
Outside of the Trogir. Wanna get to the centar? Follow that church! I just had to share this photo. As you park the car just take a sweet walk to the centar. It’s not far. Of course you can park in the centar for a million dollars a hour (just kidding but not really) 😂
I love the different blue colours just spread on the sea. Of course you can take a dip here. It can be a beach as well.
Main square just looking to this little church built as a thank you, for keeping the plaque out of the Trogir. There is an art gallery there now as well on the side of it.
There is no one sitting in the caffe outside because it was 45 Celsius! Hot hot summer in Croatia.
Thank you for the visit! Follow because more is coming. 😄
I could be all Wikipedia here and talk about the history but you can google it yourself. I don’t wanna be boring or stiff. I’m looking through my eyes 😀
What is fascinating for me is mountains and hills of pure stone with here and there some bushes and trees. The story is that mountain Velebit is naked because Italians took all the trees for making Venice. Venice is built on trees of Velebit. I got to say I’m not too happy about it and part of me is screaming- Get our trees back! How dare you?!
A gorgeous view of mountain over Omiš and river Cetina going to the sea. Beautiful view to people who actually live here. Very colorful and sunny.
Going to the sea, church in the distance. Absolutely beautiful. Completely opposite side than the first picture. A big parking place is on the right which is awesome (and safe) because you can park any car sizes and just walk around the whole city.
From the middle if the city you raise up and climb on the top of the castle to see the whole area not just city. Got to me honest it was +45 Celsius and I just wasn’t in the mood to climb all to the top. Hehe! So before I reached the top I was satisfied with this view deep in the shade. I’m not collapsing of heat for any photo. 😝
I hope you’re having a great week! Please follow for more 😄
If you follow my blog you know I don’t write much. I’m all about pictures. But this time I just have to tell you everything exactly as it was, in case you ever decide to visit Bosnia and this area especially.
This is not the first time I was in Bosnia. It was about 5th time this year but it’s my first time in Jajce. We heard there is a lovely waterfall and a gorgeous sight to see. When we got there I parked my carbon public big parking lot with a lot of other cars. We went to see the waterfall and payed for it 2 marke (about 1 Euro per person) and after we went to eat. The watefall and especially this view is beautiful! I love the little city up there as well. So nice and gorgeous! And not alot of walking which is great because it was +37 Celsius in the shade.
The restaurant was delicious and so affordable but nobody there spoke English (I don’t know if that’s the case in others around it) and we went back to the car (not even 2h later). When we arived there were no cars next to my car and I looked down to the tires – there was something add, I noticed that someone stole a decorative screw on every of my 4 tires. One on every weel. I’m just glad we got there before it assembled the whole tires. I was shocked. Then I looked more and saw my review mirror and it was scratched like someone pressured wooden board and dragged until it scratched. (No other car could do it, I have a huge car and there were normal cars where I parked in between them on purpose) We drove straight away to Banjaluka and left the car under hotel cameras.
Moral of this story and my advice to you;
If you are visiting Bosnia come with a bus or rent a car in Bosnia especially if you are going outside Sarajevo. As my car has Croatian license plates it’s a very slippery slope. Since the war was 20 years ago the hate is still in some people. I never ever experienced to my face but I would never ever leave my car in Banjaluka if I can’t see it because of Serbian-Croatian relations until this day. (Banjaluka had most Serbian citizens). That’s the perfect example how few people can ruin it for everyone and make you look over your shoulder. I love going to Bosnia because in hotels, restaurants and cafes they are so nice and friendly (and amazing delicious food). People on the streets too, they will help you in anyway they can which I can’t say for Croatia. Yes, they are just trying harder and they are never annoyed in Bosnia.
I will not stop going to Bosnia because of this, I like it, but I just want to warn and inform you so you don’t return to your car with a broken something and be surprised.
Thank you if you read all this! Maybe I should write more like this? 😆 Make sure to follow me and have a great week😄
If you missed, check my last post with more photos of Piran but I saved same sweet pictures just for you in this hot hot superhot summer weather!
As you climb up for the view, you will have to walk quite a bit. But if you don’t wanna go all the way up it’s fine too. I think this view is good enough. You don’t need to die of the exhaustion just for the photo. It’s 40 degrees in celsius so that’s hell hot.
I saved the best for last! My absolute favourite picture of Piran is just a view form the ground looking at the little houses so close to the sea. Love it!
I hope that you stay away from the sun or at least don’t burn on it.
Have a wonderful week and don’t forget to follow me! 😄
Some people love the sea and I am one of them. Just looking at the distance, ships or islands is much better than just open sea. Walking along this little city, definitely an Mediterranean feeling that stays with you for a long time. It’s pretty from every angle! You can stay down, walking around town or go up to a fortress and check the view.
I waited for so long and so early in the morning to take this picture because of all the people running around blocking this view. Lovely lovely center of the city Portorož.
So many boats tied in the city. Beautiful and so diverse.
Sitting in this cafe is really something else. You are drinking your beverage right next to the sea. Don’t worry if it’s cold of windy, you will get a soft blanket. ☺️
There is more to come, stay around 😉
You only have one chance to see outside the walls but you need to rent a boat! You can go on big boat, wooden boat, boat with a glass bottom and a regular one. Also you can pedal in the kayak! Anything you pick, it’s fine. You will see it all.
Not only the walls, you can look at the outside Dubrovnik and just see it all!
Nothing to do with boat theme but I have one for the streets again 😉 I just love tiny streets!
