Hello my dear friends!
It has been a while since I was here. Writing and taking photos for this little blog. Lately I’m trying to prepare mentally for this summer season in Croatia and all over Balkan. I’m already gonna do some traveling next month! Yeah yeah, I know traveling is great and I like it but still it takes a toll on my health every time. Traveling for work is really something else. Stress and eating do not go together in my case. I’m trying to work on my extremely nervous nerves. 😝 Do you know any techniques?
I try to do my best at writing my travel blogs this year! Not only pictures but writing about stuff, good and bad.
Bare with me!! 😊
Here is some tree blossoms in capital city of Croatia – Zagreb
If you follow my blog you know I don’t write much. I’m all about pictures. But this time I just have to tell you everything exactly as it was, in case you ever decide to visit Bosnia and this area especially.
This is not the first time I was in Bosnia. It was about 5th time this year but it’s my first time in Jajce. We heard there is a lovely waterfall and a gorgeous sight to see. When we got there I parked my carbon public big parking lot with a lot of other cars. We went to see the waterfall and payed for it 2 marke (about 1 Euro per person) and after we went to eat. The watefall and especially this view is beautiful! I love the little city up there as well. So nice and gorgeous! And not alot of walking which is great because it was +37 Celsius in the shade.
The restaurant was delicious and so affordable but nobody there spoke English (I don’t know if that’s the case in others around it) and we went back to the car (not even 2h later). When we arived there were no cars next to my car and I looked down to the tires – there was something add, I noticed that someone stole a decorative screw on every of my 4 tires. One on every weel. I’m just glad we got there before it assembled the whole tires. I was shocked. Then I looked more and saw my review mirror and it was scratched like someone pressured wooden board and dragged until it scratched. (No other car could do it, I have a huge car and there were normal cars where I parked in between them on purpose) We drove straight away to Banjaluka and left the car under hotel cameras.
Moral of this story and my advice to you;
If you are visiting Bosnia come with a bus or rent a car in Bosnia especially if you are going outside Sarajevo. As my car has Croatian license plates it’s a very slippery slope. Since the war was 20 years ago the hate is still in some people. I never ever experienced to my face but I would never ever leave my car in Banjaluka if I can’t see it because of Serbian-Croatian relations until this day. (Banjaluka had most Serbian citizens). That’s the perfect example how few people can ruin it for everyone and make you look over your shoulder. I love going to Bosnia because in hotels, restaurants and cafes they are so nice and friendly (and amazing delicious food). People on the streets too, they will help you in anyway they can which I can’t say for Croatia. Yes, they are just trying harder and they are never annoyed in Bosnia.
I will not stop going to Bosnia because of this, I like it, but I just want to warn and inform you so you don’t return to your car with a broken something and be surprised.
Thank you if you read all this! Maybe I should write more like this? 😆 Make sure to follow me and have a great week😄
If you have been with me for a while or read my previous posts you will remember the post about super clean water in Croatia. Well, here I come again! 😄 Different place same superb quality water!
As many tourists go to Plitvice lakes, some stop by Rastoke (if their guide knows what’s what 😉 ) and find this lovely place where people live with water and waterfalls!
Imagine living right above the waterfall! LOL! So awesome, at least to me.
While a lot of people are thirsty and other have contaminated water in pipes, it’s beautiful and a blessing to live in a country where you drink right out of facet and it tasted great, especially in this part of the country.
Have a graet Sunday and I’ll bring more photos of waterfalls up close 😄
Every weekend is great if you don’t have to work! Hehe But summer weekends are the best! There is so much to do, from going to the beach or going to the mountains- it’s perfect! Everything is alive, right?
Flowers are fantastic. So perfect, so calming. This little flower caught my eye. It’s like painting or someone painted this on the white flower! 😉
Well, I touched it, it’s authentic LOL 😄
Have a great weekend everyone!
I just wanted to share this quickly, just an look outside the city walls. When you look it like this it really looks like you are in the movie. I can’t help but wonder how many people all these centuries were looking outside like this while trying to concor this city-state. Also I can see why they didn’t concor it, it just too majestic and too perfect. This stone hes been here since centuries and it still looks like it could protect you.
It’s awesome that I could capture this photo without any modern day things in the way! It really looks like a movie set or just a bit of time travel. 🏰
What do you think? 😉
Don’t you just love spring and nature waking up? 😄 I love green color but also love other colors braking the green. Looking at the sun and this flower I see a little twin ☀️
Even tho is raining I had to take pictures of this almost mystical sight. The clouds on top of the mountains are stunning. The calmness of the lake and atmosphere of the forest surrounding me is just the best therapy when your stress is all over you. When you are standing in the place like this a lot of thoughts are just leaving your mind and new positive are coming in, it’s all you need sometimes.
It’s too bad I didn’t get sunny pics of this amazing place, but this is beautiful too.
Even though there is snow and extreme winter up there on Vogel, coming down is a delight! Green trees and nature coming alive is a sight for my frozen eyes. 🗻 Gotta say, I hate winter but I really really hate snow.
This was taken yesterday. Before we took a lift (gondola) to the mountains downthere wes of course spring. Everything was blooming and clearly spring was here. We took gondola lift to the top, top that was covered in white clouds. While it was raining on the bottom it started to snow half way up! When we got outside just an OMG would cover it. Wearing spring light jacket and sneakers I froze even for a 10 minute walk! In some places it was up to your knees.
