I could be all Wikipedia here and talk about the history but you can google it yourself. I don’t wanna be boring or stiff. I’m looking through my eyes 😀
What is fascinating for me is mountains and hills of pure stone with here and there some bushes and trees. The story is that mountain Velebit is naked because Italians took all the trees for making Venice. Venice is built on trees of Velebit. I got to say I’m not too happy about it and part of me is screaming- Get our trees back! How dare you?!
A gorgeous view of mountain over Omiš and river Cetina going to the sea. Beautiful view to people who actually live here. Very colorful and sunny.
Going to the sea, church in the distance. Absolutely beautiful. Completely opposite side than the first picture. A big parking place is on the right which is awesome (and safe) because you can park any car sizes and just walk around the whole city.
From the middle if the city you raise up and climb on the top of the castle to see the whole area not just city. Got to me honest it was +45 Celsius and I just wasn’t in the mood to climb all to the top. Hehe! So before I reached the top I was satisfied with this view deep in the shade. I’m not collapsing of heat for any photo. 😝
I hope you’re having a great week! Please follow for more 😄
Some people love the sea and I am one of them. Just looking at the distance, ships or islands is much better than just open sea. Walking along this little city, definitely an Mediterranean feeling that stays with you for a long time. It’s pretty from every angle! You can stay down, walking around town or go up to a fortress and check the view.
I waited for so long and so early in the morning to take this picture because of all the people running around blocking this view. Lovely lovely center of the city Portorož.
So many boats tied in the city. Beautiful and so diverse.
Sitting in this cafe is really something else. You are drinking your beverage right next to the sea. Don’t worry if it’s cold of windy, you will get a soft blanket. ☺️
These mornings are the best! Getting out of hotel which is 3 steps away from the sea and taking a nice relaxing walk when there is no need for heavy jackets and whatnot winter equipment. Looking at the sea and feeling the warmth of the sun makes me realize how much I hate winter, hate it with passion.
Looking at the sea reminds me of my view of the sea where I grew up. Every time I would look outside I would see the sea.
The smell of the sea clears your mind and sinuses 😛
Even a small walk whit this kind of view will help you have a good day.
I hope everyone else is having a great day as well! 🙂
The area where some of the strongest bora winds occur is the Velebit mountain range in Croatia. This seaside mountain chain, spanning 145 kilometers, represents a huge weather and climatic divide between the sharp continental climate of the interior, characterized by significant day/night temperature differences throughout the year, and the Adriatic coast, with a Mediterranean climate. Bora occurs because these two divided masses tend to equalize.
Oh that Bora! Scary and strog, making the waves even scarier. I really wouldn’t like to live on an island when a “normal” 140km/h Bora blows.
Who can blame the sea for being angry at us? If I was mother-nature I would also be angry looking what people do.
I’m still trying to figure out how you photograph waves, hmm, my first try.
There is something about looking at the sea before rain. It’s so dark that even in shallow place it looks deep and dangerous. It makes you think how nature has definitely the upper hand on us and it needs to remind us.
