Small and cosy – Omiš, Croatia

I could be all Wikipedia here and talk about the history but you can google it yourself. I don’t wanna be boring or stiff. I’m looking through my eyes 😀

What is fascinating for me is mountains and hills of pure stone with here and there some bushes and trees. The story is that mountain Velebit is naked because Italians took all the trees for making Venice. Venice is built on trees of Velebit. I got to say I’m not too happy about it and part of me is screaming- Get our trees back! How dare you?!

A gorgeous view of mountain over Omiš and river Cetina going to the sea. Beautiful view to people who actually live here. Very colorful and sunny.

Going to the sea, church in the distance. Absolutely beautiful. Completely opposite side than the first picture. A big parking place is on the right which is awesome (and safe) because you can park any car sizes and just walk around the whole city.

From the middle if the city you raise up and climb on the top of the castle to see the whole area not just city. Got to me honest it was +45 Celsius and I just wasn’t in the mood to climb all to the top. Hehe! So before I reached the top I was satisfied with this view deep in the shade.  I’m not collapsing of heat for any photo. 😝

I hope you’re having a great week! Please follow for more 😄

Relax and enjoy the deep blue sea – Piran, Slovenia

If you missed, check my last post with more photos of Piran but I saved same sweet pictures just for you in this hot hot superhot summer weather!

As you climb up for the view, you will have to walk quite a bit. But if you don’t wanna go all the way up it’s fine too. I think this view is good enough. You don’t need to die of the exhaustion just for the photo. It’s 40 degrees in celsius so that’s hell hot.

I saved the best for last! My absolute favourite picture of Piran is just a view form the ground looking at the little houses so close to the sea. Love it!

I hope that you stay away from the sun or at least don’t burn on it.

Have a wonderful week and don’t forget to follow me! 😄

Next to the sea in Piran, Slovenia

Some people love the sea and I am one of them. Just looking at the distance, ships or islands is much better than just open sea. Walking along this little city, definitely an Mediterranean feeling that stays with you for a long time. It’s pretty from every angle! You can stay down, walking around town or go up to a fortress and check the view.

I waited for so long and so early in the morning to take this picture because of all the people running around blocking this view. Lovely lovely center of the city Portorož.

So many boats tied in the city. Beautiful and so diverse.

Sitting in this cafe is really something else. You are drinking your beverage right next to the sea. Don’t worry if it’s cold of windy, you will get a soft blanket. ☺️

There is more to come, stay around 😉

Streets are alive in Dubrovnik, Croatia

I saw that my pics of the streets od Dubrovnik are so well received by you I just have to give you more! 😄

This time I wanna show you this view, just as you enter the city (you gotta pass few steps down) and you are in the centar! Dubrovnik is not gigantic, that’s a feature of modern day towns. As you walk around you see why would show like Game of Thrones come here to film, no set need, everything is a movie set! 😃 What you see on this pic is main street so kust keep going straight, you will never get lost here.

And at the right side of this picture these is a fountain that had drinkable non stop running water. Of course is delicious and clean, like water is in Croatia, right from the pipe. So don’t go around thirsty! 😉

Judging by the colors – Dubrovnik, Croatia

Don’t you love summer? Don’t you love the crowd and rush? Walking on the streets of Dubrovnik every step of the way you will hear a different language. I love it! In Dubrovnik expect crowd and bustle . It will be packed during the summer especially! But don’t worry, there is a place for everyone and plenty of things to see.

I just wanted to show you this pic which for me captures the summer and that’s colors! You don’t need the beach to show the summer. 😄

Smell of the summer – Portorož, Slovenia

These mornings are the best! Getting out of hotel which is 3 steps away from the sea and taking a nice relaxing walk when there is no need for heavy jackets and whatnot winter equipment. Looking at the sea and feeling the warmth of the sun makes me realize how much I hate winter, hate it with passion.

Looking at the sea reminds me of my view of the sea where I grew up. Every time I would look outside I would see the sea.

That amazing view – Split. Croatia

When you get out in the back of Diocletian palace your eyes will lay on this view. Love love love it!

church beautiful, statue, sky, clouds, history old
Statue of Grgur Ninski, made my Ivan Meštrović. Don’t forget to rub his toe and make a wish! 🙂

Grgur Ninski, who strongly opposed the Pope and official circles of the Church and introduced the national language in the religious services after the Great Assembly in 926.  Until that time, services were held only in Latin, not being understandable to the majority of the population. Not only was this important for Croatian language and culture but it also made Christianity stronger within the Croatian kingdom.

Streets of Split, Croatia

Narrow but filled with history and beauty. Lovely flowers on house windows are braking the stone consistency.

I love looking at the sky when I walk through there streets, such a contrast of colors comparing with stone. When it rains of it rained you should probably look ahead not the sky or up because the stone on this streets is crazy slippery even when it’s dry! 🙂

Streets of Split, Croatia – coffee culture

It’s a cloudy day and out of tourist season SO that means not a lot people are drinking coffee and socialize outside. Croatia is known by the coffee culture and big NO to quick drinks of coffee to go! Make that a big HELL NO to coffee to go! 😀

So when you are in Croatia, order a coffee, sit with your friends for at least 3-4 hours and chat looking at the sea and people passing by. 😛

Split, Croatia When you walk somewhere in Split you have to pass here . Usually on a sunny day a lot of people during their coffee and chat.
